Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 41 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
When all the dust settles, history may well judge that the greatest accomplishment of the Trump presidency was saving the nation from a JEB! presidency.
This case was, I believe, one of the worst examples of perversion of justice in our history. Her only “crime” was being inconvenient to her unfaithful scumbag of a husband. I wonder if he has ever repented? For his sake, I hope so.
At the time, I was discussing this matter on the phone with my Mom. I told her that JEB! needed to send in the National Guard and forcibly remove the young woman to a place of safety. “But that would be political suicide!”, my Mom replied. To which I said, “Sometimes, for the sake of the people, the king must die.” (Which, BTW, for you scouring bots out there, is not a reference to violence, but to self-sacrifice.) I stand by that still. And I still despise JEB!
Frank, IIRC, her scumbag husband, not long after her death, married his live-in girlfriend (by whom he had already had children). In the Church. Further comment fails me.
Michael Schiavo was all about the money from her life insurance. It has been awhile but I remember that her parents offered Michael the equivalnet amount of her life insurance if he would sign a release for Terri to leave the care facility. The parents wanted to care for Terri.. As I recall there was even video of Terri being responsive Definitely Terri was murdered. During COVID there were publicized cases of hospitals refusing to use drugs that might have cured the patient and prevented the family members from transfering their loved one from the hospital to another one because the hospital “knew best”. Needless deaths. Again all about the money.
